Arsenal Shop For Draxler As Mahrez Heads To Barcelona

  Arsene Wenger might be hoping to lure German forward, Draxler to Arsenal as a possible replacement for want-away striker, Sanchez. Barcelona have opened deadline-day talks with Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to AS and the Algerian is reported to have travelled to the Catalan capital. The Blaugrana are still hopeful of signing Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, but they have now identified Mahrez as an alternative. The Algeria international is likely to cost around €50 million after Roma had a series of bids rejected for the Foxes star. Arsenal are interested in signing Julian Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain before Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to Sport Bild. The Gunners now look set to lose Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City and have eyed Germany international Draxler as his replacement.
